Campus Sports Festival, held at DEAC SportCampus of the University of Debrecen on Dóczy utca was concluded in a fantastic atmosphere, providing participants with a wonderful sporting and social experience. During the course of this two-day competition, students from institutions of higher education in Hungary and abroad competed in three branches of sports. Teams of the University of Debrecen won gold in men’s 3x3 basketball, 5-a-side soccer and beach volleyball.
Almost one hundred students from a total of thirty-one different countries are going to learn about the Hungarian language and culture at this year’s Debrecen Summer School. The youngest participant is only fifteen years old, while the oldest is eighty, in a program that runs from July 20 through August 14. At the ceremonial opening held on Monday in the University Church Building, scholarship awardees also received their certificates.
At a ceremony held on Saturday, July 4, in the venue called Aula of its Main Building, the University of Debrecen inaugurated 104 new doctors. Titles for habilitated doctorate and Professor Emeritus status, as well as Excellence Ph.D. Scholarships of the Count István Tisza Foundation for the University of Debrecen were also awarded at the event.
